Hi guys,
Here I am with another Snakey bow that I just finished.
This bow stayed in the “half-finished” stage for quite a while. I finally
had the time to complete the final sanding. Making this bow was a challenge for
me. First, there are many small knots onthe stave, and I had to drill holes on some of them. I filled three holeswith epoxy on the top limbs because they are in the main working body. Secondly, the top limb has a con-caved back, chasing a ring on a Snakey concave Osage stave is a tricky job. Moreover, the tillering process was especially tough due
to all the special characters of the bow. I spent lots of time and effort trying
to make it as perfect as possible. I also rounded the belly to match the
concave back. As a result, the finished product looks very decent and satisfying. I really enjoy this bow.

Arvin I think you are correct. Just so much more work on a concave back like that. Really like scraping 6-7 SB’s just to complete this one.

The looks of it and the time consuming process of getting each wiggle and concavity scraped perfectly to achieve such a bow.
Li has some special patience and talent.

A true stunner. Bow of the decade maybe?
