Title: Starting my turkey hunting heads
Post by: Tracker0721 on February 03, 2020, 03:33:58 pm
I have a feeling I’m gonna need a lot of these. Any points that don’t turn out perfect I used to give away or set in a box to lose someplace but I decide I should try chasing turkey this spring. So if it’s legal size after sharpening and generally the same weight it’s gonna be a turkey head. Going for a couple dozen minimum haha

11 minutes to pop this flake off, clean it up, and start shaping and I even said to myself “thin the ends before the middle” and my other side said “clean up that little hinge then do that” and poof. Snapped her. It is 20 degrees out and windy so there’s my excuse. Shivers were starting haha. I’m hoping to get to knocking a hunting point out every 20-30 minutes. I’d be happy with that.

First one looks great tracker. Second one is what I’d get whit 20 degrees and windy to.
Good Luck with the turkey’s.

I've seen that several times...in my hand

Teaching point(pun intended):  Don't knapp outdoors when it is 20f and windy.  It can cause shivers!
Hope you can score a turkey!  Nice point btw!
