Title: Longest English longbow?

So I read somewhere that the longest English longbow uncovered was 6f 11inches tall? Does that sound right? Anyone have any proof of this? The draw weight must have been massively high for something so long.

Draw weight is not tied to length of bow, only draw length

The longest bow recovered from the 'Mary Rose' Tudor warship was 83.18 inches or 2113 mm long.

So yes, that is a touch over 6ft 11in long.

This bow was 39mm wide and 36mm thick in the center of the bow and had a squarish profile.

It was fine grained, so based on this info it was probably one of the heavy ones, 140 - 180 lbs draw weight!
