Title: Backstop???

Hey yall,My Uncle is putting some cattle out in a pasture behind my house.My question is will carpet be a good backstop for feild points.50# bow,The farthest I am gonna be getting is about 30 yards if that. Thanks yall

oh yeah, thatl work just fine. at one of the local ranges they have that as  a backstop in their indoor 3d range.them guys with the traing wheels are always hitting it and it stopd arrows just fine.

lol, trainin weels. if a stick and string can sink a flawless half dozen in a 3d at 20, they got no excuse. its a shame. even with the help of their training wheels they cant outshoot a REAL bow.

Hey Gene. If nothing else, it will help you concentration on shot placement. ::) Them cows get expensive.  ;D    Pat

ps. the carpet should stop your arrows just fine. Just hang it from the top so the bottom will move when hit and help absorb the shock.
