Title: Stump shooting in Ontario (GTA/Vaughan Region)
Post by: Predictable on April 15, 2020, 10:06:17 am
Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone knows what the laws are about shooting a bow and arrow in the GTA. I was reading bylaws and they seem strict, but sometimes they say "recreational archery is allowed in designated areas".... but then they don't explain what a designated area is!? Hah.

I remember reading somewhere about rules that you need to be X00 meters away from roads, schools, etc. But I can't find anything that explains this.

Thanks in advance

Best to talk to your local Game and Fish or whatever it's called.

I'm pretty sure that a "designated area" will be land owned/leased by an archery club with all the necessary backstops etc. I don't think a stump will cover it. :D
