Title: Opinions sought on Ipe thickness for D bow project

I have a request for a boo backed Ipe bend through the handle Easter Woodland style flatbow  of longish type 65# at 28"

I plan on 71" ntn, with 1&1/8 width.  Ipe slat I have is 9/18".  With 5/32" boo strip, do you think he 9/16 is sufficient?
