This has definitely been my longest knapping dry spell. Wife and I have been doing a whole lotta house updating. I spent the morning and early afternoon making a brush pile the size of a truck and then said to myself...go sit down and make a point.
So...a cup of tea and an hour and a half or so and here I am

Thanks. I’m not sure Tracket, but I think it’s Kentucky Blue. Just sorta picked up a flake from the pile, yesterday.

Nice work Parnell. I only know the basic knapping rocks but got to ask what type of rock that last point is? Thats some pretty stuff.

That is obsidian and it really flaked nicely for me yesterday, Mike. I believe YosemiteBen had sent me some of these nice mahogany pieces in the point trade.
I have to say, I hadn’t had much luck with obsidian in the past but this stuff worked nicely.
Also, I went back and touched up the edges again and it really does get SHARP!
