Had a deer walk through my carrot patch in my garden last summer, it stepped on some of the carrots

??? ??? :o :o

Saw these tracks leading to my garden yesterday morning. I'm glad he didn't go stomping through the garden but rather seems to have gone around it, very polite of him

Wow...

That's the toe of my size 13 boot

I've seen moose tracks before, not to mention a cow moose, very impressive. Reminds me of the time a steer was in our garden when I was little.
-
That is not a small critter!

The deer visit our garden here too. They love to eat off the beet greens after they get a good 6" tall..I always cover them with chicken wire nowadays.
Everything else they leave alone.

Had one in my garden a while back eat the tops out of my Jalapenos and hasn't been back (lol)

Deer up here are not fussy. They'll eat beets, cabbage, chard, lambs quarters. If they're in the garden and it's in front of them they'll eat it. They especially like evening primrose
-
Sorry to hear about the evening primrose - I was aiming to lantern a bunch to get rid of other weeds!
Too bad I am on the edge of town - I understand they're is some rule about hunting in the city limits!Hawkdancer
