Been a while since I posted. Sure wish they would update the website so I don't get a warning ever on time I come on. Haven't posted in a while due to that but I've still been making some. I actually been enjoying shooting fiberglass with micro carbon arrows! Yesterday I barricaded myself in my workshop for a fair part of the day. Took a primo stave from Clint and by the end of the day had it shooting. Osage/ 67.5ttt/42@27. Danish oil finish. Thanks for looking

Very nice, Paul. I think you nailed it. :OK
-
Very nice job on that one 😮 good to see ya posting. Pappy

Beautiful longbow, especially for a one-day build. I especially like the handle you've crafted, as it is the "user interface" for the bow.
-
That turned out really nice. Well done!
-
Beautiful bow! I really like the handle and shelf. Great job.
-
Nice work on that old red line hedge.
-
Now that’s a nice one day full draw. Well done Paul. And Happy New Year.

Nice work! That handle is beautiful with the red streaks. One of a kind!
-
Wow! Super bow all in one day. Beautiful tiller.
-
That’s a beauty Paul. I to like the handle. Well done. Arvin

really fantastic tillering (-S very nice bow, good job, congratulations!
brace looks rather high to me?
-
Thanks guys.
Simk: as for the brace height I have no problem raising till it feels good. Have not tuned any arrows to it but that's where the brace felt good with some arrows that weighed around 500 grains.
-
Good to see you are still at it.
Question ... how long is handle and fades?
Congrats, sir!

That is a nice looking tiller

Nice bow, those red streaks really set it off, and I bet the longer handle and fades make it a sweet shooter. I have experienced about a 25% failure rate with red streaked osage, but when they hold up, they become one of my favorites. Here is a picture of what I often find.
I used to think I was doing something wrong with my higher brace height after hearing people posting these low brace numbers, but like you, I twist it up until it shoots best.

Nice bend Paul (-S Happy New Year to ya

Great bow, Paul! So, how long does it take in my bowyer career before I can make a bow like that in less than a month? ;D
I share your annoyance with the website warnings. Sure wish the Powers could do something about that.
-
Wow, tremendous work in one day, really impressive. Like that bow, very much.
-
Thanks guys. It was an absolute perfect piece of wood though. Had some setback in the handle which I'm not a fan of. I was about to cut it in half and rejoin them to throw the reflex out in the tips but I took the lazy way out and just went from beginning to end with no heat correction. More like making a board bow than one out of a stave

Helluva sweet bow Paul, love everything about it....
-
Thats a beauty man!

Great looking bow! This thread had a bunch of folks I remember… I have been out of pocket for a while, but it’s good to see you are still making bows. That one looks like a sweet shooter to me. I’m with you on the brace height.
