I was trying to find the thread for it but don't see one in the EVENTS forum. What are this years dates? I'm making my plans and saving my money. I plan on being there early as they will let me, got lots to do and a short time to do it.
-
Sleek,
I got my calendar mark for 15,16,17 July, hope to get there on Tuesday. I think the gate opens on Sat 9 July.
Hawkdancer
-
Official dates are July 14 - 16th. Dave dates are July 8 thru 17th :)
Less than three months away!
Neal
-
Dave would probably be there Now, (if he wasn't probably already in Tennessee at the Classic... ;))
-
I just put it in my calendar. Barring family illness I'll be there.
-
I will be starting the MOJAM Ale Monday! It should b good!
Hawkdancer
-
I'm packing my stuff now in case they open early. I can't wait to see you all there.
-
Looking forward to it. Need to see friends.
-
ill see if i can go! hope to see ya'll there!
-
If fuel prices dont knock this crap off, I won't be able to afford to go. It's going to cost me 800 bucks in fuel right now. Last time was only 300 in fuel.
-
We got that same problem, but not quite so severe! Just scary, though! Hopefully things get to be more reasonable soon! We are even considering rescheduling a trip to Mesa Verde for a location closer to home!
Hawkdancer
-
Fly into the airport in Marshall. I'll pick you all up. Probably cheaper
-
I will check my fuel records from last year to see what the impact might be. I'm somewhat allergic to flying. since they won't let me have a parachute, and the TSA dudes don't have a sense of humor! (lol)

Hawk....You can figure at least a 30% hike in fuel costs.Used to cost $50.00 to fill the truck. Now it costs $80.00.
Despite this I'll be at Mo Jam.I've gotten used to not traveling as much.
-
I'm glad to hear that Ed. You bringing anything really cool for show and tell?
-
I took Robin with me once so she could see what it's all about.....ha ha.I can't get her to shoot the bow though so she stays home now. There's too many animals and plants left alone on our yard and she feeds them.
Some recent bows that need a little more shooting in I guess and a few other things.
-
That's awesome, Ed you are on my list of people I want to meet from here : )
I already put mojam in the calendar so my wife knows I'm going. I hope there is lots of knapping rock there, I have the itch so bad
-
Allen...I'm sure Scot Stansberry will be there with his crew cracking rock.
There's a decent 3D course there. We could shoot it a couple times.Excellent target range also.
Plus the pavillion where bows are made.
-
I put my time off notice in last week. I'll have to keep telling them every month though. I'll be there hopefully with a few new bows to shoot in to, Ed.
-
Yay deerhunter you're on my list too! I hope to have a new bow by then as well.
-
I hope to be in before Wednesday. We still doin' the fish fry?
Sue will bring her buttermilk pie for that. ;D
-
As long as Jon has been fishing this year. If he hasn't, I have a few bags of fish and it's almost frog season.

Well if Jon has been fishing he usually catches fish so that's a "good thing". :)
Being as I don't do that facelook thing I can't keep up with all a ya'lls "antics" and activities ... ???
;)
-
Word is, Jon has not been fishing as much, so fish may be javing supply chain issues. )F( I just dragged the camper hone to patch it together for at least one more Mojam run. Lol. I javent opened it up, but it can't smell worse than Chris's popup that one year!
-
Well, if it smells bad BEFORE a week at Mojam maybe a big bottle of Febreeze might be a good investment..? ???
;) :D
-
Well folks. Fuel prices and work are going to force me to bow out this year. Hopefully things improve next year. If not, maybe by 2024 things will improve.
-
MoJAM weather started early this year.
-
Can't make it this year. Got to have my heart worked on. Sure will miss it.
-
Butch, take care with that ticker, you'll be in our prayers. We'll look forward to seeing you in 2023.
-
Paul, you going to be at the top of the hill with Lennie?
Dave, fish fry on Wednesday nite right? Inquiring minds regarding arrival time. :-)
Looking forward to seeing all usual miscreants and meeting new ones.
Last I heard, Rob from SD, Larry from IL and Bob will not be attending. Good Lord willing I'll be there Wednesday AM.
-
Gif, appreciate the prayers. Will bring you a special carving next year
-
Butch, not necessary, the miscreants just want to visit with you, Loydd et al.

Hi Dan,
Not sure about Lennie but I'm hoping to be there at the usual spot, probably Wednesday as well.
Bummer about Rob,Larry and Bob. :(
-
This miscreant ain't going to be able to make it this year, either! The cost of gas and other factors such as Jacie deciding we could only make one major trip, along with scoring a side of grass fed beef, and maybe a new puppy later sort of had to decide to keep momma happy! (lol). Bw,, I finally got the shagbark hickory bow I"ve been working on down to weight and draw, the tiller seems to be good, and the flat are hiding! Still have to finish the grip and add wrappings for safety and decoration, and do final finish!
Hawkdancer
P.S. I will have put the MOJAM Ale to good use here at home! Much more fun with good company, though! (lol) (lol)
-
I understand all the people not being able to go. I'm still excited to meet the ones that can make it
-
I'm pretty bummed about people missing, but I do understand. Hopefully a new crowd comes in to fill the place out. I won't be there as early as normal. I have something to do on the 9th, so it will be Sunday when we get there.
I dont know when the fish fry is going to be. I only have two bags of fish so far. I will have a nice mess of frog legs again though to help out. I'd say Wednesday evening works for me.
Good luck with the ticker Butch!
-
Seems supply chain issues are cropping up, even for MoJAM.
Dave, perhaps the fish fry should be postponed this for this year.
-
‘Em love frog legs.
Sure wish I could go, but my cousin gets here Friday night and be here for next two weeks so I’m stuck with him. Somebody has to keep him out of trouble.
Take lots of pictures for me.

Tis a Bummer that some folks won't be making it this year. :(
I did hear from Lennie that they will be there so the top of the hill will be occupied by some of the "usual suspects". We should have some kind of Wednesday get together, whether fish or fowl, and Sue will bring a buttermilk pie.
-
I would be willing to grill something to eat Wednesday evening if everyone wants to get together. I can bring a fryer if someone else wants to fry something. I don't have any fish to fry.
I plan to be there either late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.
Neal
-
I'm bringing all the fish I have and a mess of frog legs, and I'd bet I can get some more before mojam. Let's stick with Wednesday for the fry.
Glad we will have out welcoming committee at the top of the hill still!
-
"Good luck with the ticker Butch!"
Thanks Dave. Means a lot.
-
I got the first round of frogs in the sink
-
Only one week away! I've been thinking about packing already.
-
Look forward to seeing all that can make it. Keith
-
Can't wait to see everyone that gets to make it this year. Safe travels to all coming in
-
Been without internet for a while but borrowing some today...
Still planning to get in on Wednesday and having a friend joining us as well. He's new to archery but he's already practicing for the jug shoot. :D
As always, looking forward to seeing everyone who's gonna be there.
-
I'm planning on being there Wednesday.
Have been digging through the accumulation of miscellaneous and sundry stuff that has been squirreled away over the years.
I'll be bringing it along to see if anyone would have a use for it.
It will be on display at my camp and includes some tools, shafts, sinew, hide glue and what ever else I find.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
-
I plan on showing up Monday and setting up the hammock. I’m excited to see everyone that can make it.

I have secured more fish, and I'm going after frogs tonight. I'm going to finish loading the truck tomorrow morning and het the road! See you all soon!!
-
I got no fish but I will bring a fryer for cooking.
I am packing up tonight. See everybody soon!

As bad timing can happen the medical clinic here decided to schedule a minor operation here for me the 5th and recovery at home is 2 to 3 weeks I'm afraid I'll have to pass on Mo Jam this year.
Have fun you guys.
-
Ed-Hope all will go or went well and recuperation is uneventful. Hope to see you next year.
-
Ed,
Have a very speedy recovery! Hope to see everyone next year! Got the hickory bow into shooting form, still have some work to do, such as banding and decorating and final finish. Came in at 40#, right about where I want it. Have a good one!

Things are coming together. Putting on finishing touches today and tomorrow. Jerry, John, Robin and I look forward to seeing everyone. Drive safe. Keith
-
I waa planning on making it there today. Life happens. I'm thinking it will be tomorrow or maybe Tuesday now! I hate being late for mojam. I'll see you all soon though.
-
Still shooting for Wednesday.
ED,
Hope all goes well and your recovery is smooth and swift.
-
Thanks fellas.The future looks good.

Got home yesterday after our 4 days at MOJAM. As always the club did an excellent job of putting on the event and the park department has also done some improvements on the grounds as well. (Extra water spigots for one thing... :OK) The weather was "seasonal" and the annual rain storm held off till Sunday morning. :)
It was a good turnout with many familiar faces as well as more than a few new faces in the mix. Those of you who couldn't make it this year should know that they were missed.
As always, Bows were built, Food and Drink consumed, Tales were told and Fun was had.
-
Sure wish I could make this event. Anybody have pictures?
