Title: One for the FFA
Post by: bjrogg on May 14, 2022, 12:14:16 pm
My daughter in law is a ag. Teacher and FFA advisor. They are having their banquet and a silent auction tomorrow. I promised her I would donate a arrow and stand a week ago.

Iíve been busy farming but I tried to do a little every day.

I think it turned out okay.

Point I knapped a couple weeks ago. I think itís some kind of jasper. Really nice stuff and pretty to.

River cane shaft

Pitch glue and sinew haft

Wild turkey tail feathers and a Eastern Cherokee two fletch.

I kinda like it . Might have to bid on it myself.

Thanks Rob. She is a really hard working ag teacher and FFA advisor. My son was very involved in FFA to. He was actually state president.

Thanks Pat. I hope it brings them a little money. Iím sure they will use it wisely.

The arrow did ok at the auction. It brought $100 and Iíd say thatís pretty good for that crowd. Not like there were a bunch of primitive fans with bulging wallets there. Most people donít realize how much goes into making one of these, so itís nice to see someone appreciates it.

It went to a good home. The FFA Chapter got some much needed money. And everyone was happy. I call that a win win.

I have meet the lady who got it before. Her husband has a nice hunting cabin Iím sure it will look really nice in.
