Title: Black Locust Mollegabet 45-50# @26"
Post by: dreamcraft_archery on August 31, 2022, 01:08:10 pm
Hi guys!

It's been a while since my latest post, so I've decided to share results of my latest build. It's a black locust mollegabet style self bow built from the stave that was seasoned for over 18 months. It's 2 1/4" (6cm) at widest, approx 66" ntn. For the nocks I've used zebrawood, then wrapped it with a flax twine and sealed with hide glue. For sealing the whole bow I used water based varnish.

You can see the whole process of building this bow here:

Thanks for watching!

Nicely done :) Very good tiller for that style. Locust lets you know anyway haha
That bow is like the twin to one I have on my wall that I made quite a few years ago in Bulgaria.

I saw where you had posted this sexy beast on Facebook. I am serious about that offer to dig out my chronograph and get some performance numbers on that sweetheart!
