This may seem trivial but I am so excited I am on cloud nine!
I have built 5 flintlock and 2 percussion rifles; I don't know how well they will shoot because I have never been able to see the sights well enough to align them properly. I have killed plenty of deer with these rifles and shotguns but had to use a peep sight, fiber optics and a white painted front sight to get on target, even then it was bit of a guess.
I had cataract surgery on both eyes, I had the right eye done yesterday and had to check today to see if I could finally see the sights on my rifles. I CAN!
The pictures are my best representation of what I saw before my surgery and after.

My wife had cataract surgery a year or so ago and was amazed at the change and improvement in her vision. :OK

What an exciting life changing event for you Eric! Those deer better lay low, you just got even more lethal out there!

Congratulations Eric. Glad it went well for you. :OK
I have heard this result from others.

That's great news, Eric. Best of luck this year if you get a chance to hunt with your flintlock.

That’s fantastic Eric. I have been wearing glassy since the second grade and probably should have been wearing them before that.
I so thankful for glasses even though I detest them.
Glad your surgery went well and your vision is clear now.
I’m thinking that critter getter of you’d is going to be busy this year.
