Flint Ridge blade an takedown point

I got a chance to hit a few today. Should have quit on the point while I was ahead. the blade is full of healed fractures an you can see light thru a crystal like fracture, I couldn't quite capture it with pic but could see light all the way across. I got the blade down to 3/8" an decided with all the fractures to leave well enough alone. Hope ya like it, an thanks for looking Later Bob

Looks good Bob! That will be a good stout blade and should last a lifetime, just a little retouch on the edges from time to time. Too bad about the takedown there - I've built a bunch of those in the last two days..

Nice work on that blade Bob.  Every piece of flint ridge I've ever touched became a takedown :-\

nice Bob, me likes the blade. been to busy here to do anything, can't even look at PA.  Now, it deer season and I'm even more busy.

Good knapping Bob,  That blade looks really nice, those fractures look like some risky spots.  Very nice job.

 As pretty as that Flint Ridge is, it can go to pieces with hidden cracks or quartz inclusions in a second.  I've broken way more than my share, but I still love that rock.  No telling how many short points I've had to make from takedown pieses. Good job keeping that blade together.

Sweet blade, Bob. That flintridge is for sure a challenge but it's nice when you get one.

Looks good ,I like working the Ridge material but it but it is like a Craker Jax box,don't know what your gettin' till ya open it up
