Hi ice, just a thought here, but maybe post your request in the trade section on the topic board,You may get one of the finest bows you can acquire!! An archery store may carry hand made recurves(and I'm talking wood here) but are they"hand made" or a belt sanded-jig form wanna be?(no offense meant 15d,we're all just trying to help). There are members of this forum that are the leading authorities of bow making(a little time spent here and who they are will become obvious)!! If you want just post the topic or...kick the tires awhile and maybe get a world class bow either way, just sayn',Ron

There are several bowyers who are advertisers with PA. James Parker of huntworthy productions comes to mind. He can build you about anything you want from longbow to recurve to horn bow. He goes by Robustus here on the message boards, send him a PM.
Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you made a bad decision.

The two most amazing bowyers I have ever seen the likes of are David Brunetta and Ed Scott. other than that, the authors of the TBB series. After that, ME   ;D

LOL that was kinda like walking into a navy squadron hanger and asking, who's the best pilot you ever saw? HAHA

Ice, this is probably not the best forum for that sort of question. I think you will have better luck with that on a forum like TradGang or Stickbow.

I would  add one caveat to Gordon's response.  If you ever decide to build your high quality recurved selfbow, THEN this is the forum.   Josh

And to add to the last few comments, you sir may find yourself holding a top quality recurve one piece hunting bow that you yourself has made with little to no money into it. A bow you have made will shoot sweeter than any bow anybody could have made for you. I promise :)

MAN that is so true.
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

To take a hand full of cash from a man for a bow you built yourself is another great feeling ;D.
