Decorative paleo-gear: Dagger, cord, flute & charm
« on: December 22, 2014, 12:24:37 pm »
Just to keep the worms in the can and the law enforcers at work: I live in europe. It's fully legally here to use these feathers.  O:)

This will go to my father for christmas. A dagger from jurassic chert that knapped not nearly as well as I was hoping, with a roebuck handle, four feet of black locust bast cord, a small 4 hole ocarina and a charm of magpie and woodpecker feathers, some unknown species bones, rabbit fur, sinew and red ochre paint. All on a gut string.

Wow! I like it. I hope your dad gets much pleasure from your gift.
I like the image of the ghostly guy on the dagger >:D

Dad will treasure that gift!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857
