Woodpecker yew, need help with a repair

I just build this yew bow from a stave that looks like it was abused by woodpeckers.   
It's 68" ntn at about 52# but, it has a crack on the lower limb, about 6" from the fade.   What can I do to repair this crack, and are there more problems like delamination, possibly making the limbs short lived because of all the other defects?

If I had to save this bow I would rasp the back smooth, remove the crack and depressions. Then sinew back it with a good few courses. Re-tiller and if it held together fill the belly cracks with warmed up epoxy and give them a good sinew wrap around the limb.
Maybe a good thick rawhide back would be enough? But I like sinew :)
