Very nice job, congrats on your first, and with Osage too.  Can't wait to see more.  As for 35#, first it's legal hunting weight, and second a lighter weight can help with shooting form pratice.

You should definitely be proud of that one for a first attempt. Looks like the bottom limb is bending a little more then the top...if you wanted to take some of the advice given to increase the weight, you could cut about 1-1/2" off that bottom limb which would stiffen it up some and add several pounds to the draw. Please don't consider this criticism at all...great first bow!  ;)

Great job. My first can only shoot an arrow 20 yards by aiming at the sky :D. I'd say you did very well. Always room for improvement but that never changes :) You got a great start.

 :'( That picture makes me jealous :o .  We don't have Osage out this way, just a bunch of oak and maple and a few others.  Best of luck with the pile of gold ;D
