I went to forrest this week end for about 4 hours and found some type of rock that had been used by paleo Indians. i got some good size flakes about 3 to 5 inch's. All the rock was just white matrix on the outside and black and grainy on the inside a lot of the large pieces were worked. But from what i thought by looking at the work done there i got the impression that there make spalls or preforms or they only use percussion to produce the items that they made. It did not look like a quarry. any ideas ?
In working in stone i find my past, in giving of the blood i pay for the future.

Sounds like it may have been a quarry, dunno. Did you take any pictures? sounds interesting.
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.
