Well my wife got me this gizmo for Christmas. My buddy used one when hiking the Appalachian trail's northern end from Massachussetts to Canada, sleeping in it and cooking under the fly when raining for 2 months. This thing uses no poles or anything, just a couple of straps. There is a pretty significant space that you can tie up to and it leaves no trace. There are no zippers and it weighs about probably less than 2 lbs. It's great for afternoon naps when the weather is cool down here and I like the idea of being off the ground if going camping. Plus, you don't have to find soft, dry, level ground.
