What was this used for? I thought it looked a lot like my abrading stones.

That could be an abrading stone but it looks suspiciously like a peice of glacial till. Is it flat on just one side or both?

Its hard to tell. I've found a couple abrading stones here in TX. Yours looks like one but it has a lot of weathering on it, or it seem to be. What's it made of? Looks like limestone which can weather fast. Being found in a creek could account for it. Congrats on your find. Many people don't realize stone artifacts aren't always made of flint.
