Dilemma with hickory bow

I have a dilemma with the shag bark hickory stave I am working on.  There is a pin knot
Bump on the upper limb about 8” out from the fade, kinda on the edge and about 13/16”
thick on the back of the stave.  My initial reaction is to decrown the bump and either
Back with rawhide or make a Meade Heath type wrap. Target draw weight is 40-45#,
I have pictures, but my Imgur access is stuck right now.

Leave it. Just built a bow with a girl from Al during 23rd classic. Had a big lump on back right in upper limb in the working section. Was Pignut but bow came in over weight and very snappy. Dont think itll create much issue unless it’s a hunchback lump.

Totally agree with Shawn. Do follow the grain on the belly so the limb is not way thicker at the knot.

Also, Imgur is a total waste of effort. Just click "Attachments and other options" below and post image direct from your computer or phone.
