Couple of quivers I made
« on: June 21, 2008, 08:38:57 pm »
Ok, I have never tried to make a quiver before, so I saw a few at some shoots, got some ideas, and tried to stay simple and to the point.

I talked my 5 year old daughter into modeling these.  One is a red fox hide that I made into a quiver for her, the other is a coyote hide that I made into one for me.
I cut the head part off at the neck and sewed it back on facing outward.

With the coyote, I did not want the quiver really long due to the fact that this was a long coyote hide.  So, I cut more off to just above the feet.  I then took the neck
scruff and sewed it onto the back to make a pocket to put my arm guard.  I used the face to flop over the opening of the pocket.  What is neat about it, is that you would never be
able to tell there is a pocket there if you did not know it.  It blends in well with the rest of the hide.
Anyway, my first attempt and they function well.

Thanks for looking!!!! :) :) :)

Great looking quivers Dave. I like what you did with the Yote.
