Can you do this with only turkey tail feathers or can you use primary and secondarys? I tried some this way with secondarys but they stuck out from the shaft a lot! Help!!!!

David, secondaries work, but work the best when you turn them backwards to the shaft.

What Eddie said-turn the dull side out, makes a big difference.

Well the first arrow with the jagged point is going hunting in the morning. I talked to my Buddy yesterday and then tonight and he has about 15 turkeys showing up in the mornings. He said 7, I think, were gobblers, with 3 long beards and hens. The only cover is a blown down limb of a huge Live Oak. No leaves, but I have to crawl back in there and still have a shot. If it works , there will be pictures.

Takes a lot of feathers for a meal, plus they smell bad when you cook 'em.......:)

That's alright, I didn't get enough to eat. I was so cold laying there for 2hours without moving, I was kinda glad it was over.

HI all, i am new to primitive archery and have a couple of questions. On the arrows, is that real sinew or synthetic? Only two fletch? I don't get it. I am a Scadian archer that is just getting into primitive. I do make my own arrows but they are medieval and I wanna do this stuff it is way cooler.
