Had to give em a try after chatting with Mullet about it. Their not paper thin but plenty thin enough - after percussing about six of em in half I had to back off a little. Need to spend a little time with isolated platforms ::).

Thanks all. Your right Shannon: it is the Overstreet ID and price guide. Pete: I think my wife bought that one on ebay. This is raw Georgetown chert I picked up on a jobsite entrance. Most all of our jobsite entrances are paved with rip-rap which is about six to eight inch stone and down south (hill country) it always has some chert mixed in.
