Was talking to a fella doing a waterline for us and as I'm lookin around in the dirt/sand for whatever our conversation went from fossils to rocks to artifacts.Turns out the guy lives in the Tampa area and has been doing trench work for a while. So I asked him about his finds and the next day he brings a couple display cases in.He had some nice stuff but what really had going me was a little,1.5" red coral hillsbourgh. It was one of the thinnest points I've ever seen.so of course that nite I was on the ol'rock pile tryin' my best to come up with something close.Close was all I got ,the artifact is half again this thin.Truly an inspiration to set the goals up another notch or three.

Here's a couple more from the weekend, different corals i picked up at the Dade knapp-in

Roger, I think you must inspire us all with those nice points you turn out - those are some beauties. It is amazing how thin some of the points and blades are that were made back in the day. I watched a feller working with isolation's close to where I live here, I feel like that's key.

Roger, nice looking Hillsborough. Get Rick to show you the thin, little, red, Hillsborough that came out of the creek behind his house. You've had better luck with that Coral than I've had, broke two so far. I really hate to waste that stuff. Curt, looking forward to seeing you again, also. Eddie

Dang Roger, that is incredible! ::)  Those are some really nice points.  I wish I could get them thin like that.  Heck, I wish I could make one that size.   ;)  Man those are nice!   8)
