MOUNTED ARCHERY

It has been a while since i got on the old war horse and let some arrows fly... Kenneth (little john) inspired me with his medicine hat paint and snakey bow mounted archery pics.. So I saddled the old boy up and let some arrows fly.. ::) Surprisingly he still knee reigned like a champ, and I still hit the mark while galloping by... have a long way to go before I would try this for a living  but sure is a good way to keep me and my horses in shape.. hope you all enjoy...lets see some of everybody else shooting in different ways.. Nice work Mike, awsome pics and beautiful animal. Stacy sure does a good job at catching the arrow in flight. I don't know if I ever inspired any one before, but glad you got out and let some fly. I have another horse I have shot off of and neither have minded it at all, so I encourage any one with access to a good broke  horses to give it a try. Actually I hit better than I ever would of thought so it is not as hard as you might think. The hard part for me is to try and get three arrows off on one pass at the target.  Again Mike cool photos and good shooting.       kenneth

Three :o arrows :o my horse is too fast, or i am too slow... I can only get two one in the target.. and one wherever it ends up ;D ;) Thanks Kenneth for your kind words.. Hawk ... Mullet.. you should try chasing those pigs on horseback and shooting with your bows.. Hawk

Thanks brothers.. Marc.. that is the bow you built me.. I added snake skins to her..I hope to get a buffalo from horseback someday.. Lloyd.. I have just the horse for you brother, His name is Abracksus ... He is one of my new mustangs.. and boy can he buck... hasn't thrown me yet but I am sure it  will happen soon enough ;D

 Mike, I had a friend that chased hogs on horseback and roped a hind leg to catch them.

I think my horse would be great at chasing buffalo, he is one fast bugger.. even at nineteen years old he can outrun all the younger mustangs..with ease.. just don't know if i could make the shot at those speeds... :o ;) Hawk

Just get close. I guess also the Native Americans also liked the young. Tender, easier to kill, less chance of being killed yourself, softer skins.   kenneth
