Thanks, Timo! Not for BOM.
« on: March 25, 2009, 10:24:28 am »
This stave was a gift from Tim Ott. Thank you, Tim! I don't make as many as I used to so it has taken me some time to get to it. I just make them for me and mine. "Jawge 2000" was written on it so it was well seasoned. The moisture content was 6% so I kind of worried about that but it's dry in NH this time of year. I like my 'sage at 8% ideally.  It's not completely done but it is tillered. It is 52# at 26 in. and is made from a pretty, perfect osage stave.  There were a couple of small knots on the belly so I shall call this bow "Small Knots". Note the slightly stiffened appearance of the upper limb about mid limb. It is 61 in. ntn. I'll probably post more photos after I finish it. Lord willing.
I know. I'm having a bad hair day! Again, thsnk you so much, Tim. Jawge

Thanks, Cowboy. The stiff part is slight because the knots were small but I felt needed a little TLC. Thanks again, Bea rand thanks, Dana. Glad you like my humble effort. Jawge
