April Challenge "Dalton"
« on: April 02, 2009, 08:49:23 am »
I rekon I'll get this started.Hope no one minds, but it is April already?  Dalton of any type? Long, short, big, small.Find a type you like, and build it.Or better yet build one of every type you can find pics of.  Here in Mo, there are all kinds of daltons, from just about every kind of material. Bring um on.

Good luck and happy knappin.:)

Progress might have been all right once but it's gone on for far too long.

Well I don't have any old ones but did finish this one after I snuck home from work this afternoon. It's Ranbow Obsidian I really like the way that stuff looks.

All right, I'm on for this one. I always wanted to make daltons. I tend to make them anyways when trying to make something else. Its been imprinted in me from an earlier life, I think!  :o

Very nice point Mullet!

I was in the mood, so I found me a good piece of burlington and had at it. I guess I was on my game tonight cause this one came through without a hitch. Not sure if you can see the heal fracture that runs across the base? This is probly one of the best points I have every made. Got lucky. :o

Those all look great.  I don't have time to make one but here's a couple of pretty rough authentic ones I have.  Most of them I've seen from around here are usually better quality than these.

Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

awesome points guys. i broke into a gnarly piece of normanskill i had and popped this one out. it had a lot of stress fractures and went from being a hands length long to 3 fingers long. this stuff was like knapping a crayola crayon after having been working with the texas stuff.
