No, right off the right wing, left off the left wing.  you can get 1st and secondary feathers off the same wing.

Yazoo.  Not to differ with Brother Dan, but yes you can.  If you take a Right Wing Primary or Secondary, and split it, the bottom part of that feather is now a left wing and vise versa on the left wing.  Although not as stiff or as big, they can be used as left wing.  I would not use them for my hunting arrows, but definately use them on my roaming and target arrows to say my primaries for hunting and my best arrows

I always strip both sides of the secondaries and keep them in seperate bags.

I was thinking that one side of a secondary is right wing and the other side is left wing even though they came off the same wing ???

Mike that is exactly right, ahh I mean correct :) Primaries will be either left or right but on some of the secondaries you get both, simple eh ;) :D

I usually use both sides if I can. Like Mike said, the opposite sides behave like opposite wings.

I"m with everyone on the secondaries having both. I've never been able to get enough feather off of the trailing side of the primary and just use the fuller side. I kick myself for all of the secondaries and tail feathers that I pitched before I started fletching "primitive " style.
