First Point
« on: May 16, 2009, 09:56:53 pm »
This is my first point. I took a break from thinning spalls and picked up a flake and tried to make a point.  This is my first "success"  I know it is not that great but it is the first time I made one that kind of looks like a point.  It is a piece of Keokuk.

Great looking point, Rick. You won't have to fling that one at squirrels.

Thanks for the kind words.  I can't believe how much I learned at the Classic from Outbackbob, Hillbilly, Jamie, Jesse, Venisonburger, Dana and others in the knapping pit.
Saw Filer-  That's my first point, Not my first attempt,  It took me about 100# of stone for that one little bird point ;D

I agree Rick. That was my first to actually see and watch it in action. Things have clicked. I learned a lot! Very cool point! Was that a scrap piece from the pit?
