Feral reptiles in Florida; possible hunting opprotunity.......

Here's a list of a few that could be hunted:

Green Iguana
Mexican Black-tailed Iguana
Spiny-tailed Iguana
Nile Monitor Lizard
Caiman
Burmese Python
Boa Constrictor

All of them seem huntable and tasty.

 Yep!, Too many of them here. A Burmese Python just killed a little girl here yesterday. I wish they would make these Exotics illegal in Florida. It seems like every dumb A$$ redneck has to buy one at the Flea Market and when it gets big dump it in the woods.

Yep all are fair game....come and get em ! The smaller pythons and boas make awesome bow backing and arrow cresting !


I was told by the FWC to kill them all when I saw them....okie dokie....dont have to tell me twice ! Maybe they will lay off the rattlers and let em make a come back !

hey not all rednecks are dumb.  ;D well yeah actually we are, but anyone that would buy a snake in the first place aint my kind of redneck....unless of cource he was thinking "mmmm, gumbo and bow backing!"  ;)

 Tinker, I think they ought to restrict ownership of all the Exotics, including plants that are being sold down here. I was at a Flea Market a few weekends ago and you could buy Hissing roaches, Black Scorpians, Tarantulas, Boas, Pythons, Monitor lizards, Iguanas, and assorted Tropical birds. Right now, I think you just have to have a $150 permit. And you shouldn't be able to buy that stuff at the Flea Market or Yard sale.

I worked with a guy up here that had two columbian red tails.  One was 7 feet and the other was twelve feet long.  It had its own room.  Then he got one of the mainland monitors and had to have someone build a 10 X 6 cage about 4 feet tall just to keep it in while he was asleep.  He said they get up to 9 feet long.  How would you like to wake up with one of those chewing on one of your body parts.

I have been in the swamps and wilderness alot here in fl.
There are critters out there that I cant explane. Some of them are scary and I dont scare easy.
I just hope some clowns dont bring cobras and reptiles like that here as we are in sub Trickable climate.

Any way    Year round we can shoot cows, armadillos, and all kinds of critters.    Have fun.        Tinker.

Dang, thats really sad.  Buying those animals should be illegal and if they aren't they shouldn't be sold at fle markets.

 Tinker, around the corner from my office a guy has a garage at his house full of cages with Cobra's. Two years ago some guy's found one in their garage in downtown Orlando. They shot it and then the guy who used to own it tried to sue them. It was his pet and was de-fanged. Ooops?

oh yes because when we see a FREAKIN COBRA our first instinct is to catch it and check for fangs aint it?  ???

 :D ;D   My buddy just moved back from Wyoming and brought his "pet" rattlesnake with him.  He said it's de-venomed, but still bites.  He keeps it in a tank in his room.  I'm just waiting for it to die so I can have the skin.  Who would want a pet/companion that you can't interact with ???
