Thanks for the info.  I have put some turkey feathers on a couple of old arrows.  The first one looked horrible, but the others looked really good.  I have the next two days off so I should be able to get a few done.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

on a secondary feather you can get a right and left wing off the same feather, tail works this way to
if you can shoot over them , they ain't to far

nah, you can use just about any feather really
if they are long enough, only real diferance is the duarability of the feather
primaries are probabaly the most durable, but in my experience seem to make the most noise too.
but the noise factor is also dependent upon the cut of the feather too
i always wanted a harley, untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

I think the tail feathers look great, but they are softer then wings, I have used two wings and one tail for the cock feather
if you can shoot over them , they ain't to far

Here's how I've always described Right vs Left to people on primary feathers. Hold the feather by the point of the shaft (By point, I mean the end that one would use, if it were a pen). Anyway, hold it out in front of you with the shorter quills facing the ground. Now, would it wrap around the left side or the right side of your body better, if you were the turkey?
