Flint river "dagger" (no...not the Danish kind)
« on: November 30, 2009, 10:50:34 pm »
Jesse's been making those super cool Danish daggers lately. So I decided to try one myself.   I'm nowhere near even thinking about the kind he makes, but I thought this style would look nice hafted to a handle.
It's 5" long and some of that AWESOME flint river.

Awesome job

I have to ask.... was it FOG? If not, that thing should go into the "Hall of Blades". If it is fog, it is still one of the finest flint blades I have seen. It would definitly compete with any of the Obsidian fog blades being made. Simply AWESOME any way you go about it.
Another question.... I have been seeing a lot of posting with this "River Flint". I would love to get my hands on some. Are you purchasing it, finding it, trading for it???????

That thing deserves some kind of special handle. That is one hell of a blade!

Pokie, I'd walk to the Classic if I had too.  The question is...Are you gonna be there???
Steven, F.O.G. is flake over grind.  I don't know how to do that.  This one was from a spall that was given to me. I don't know where you could buy any though ???
