Hello,

I have a traditional recurve bow with at draw weight at 60#, to start with this is little bit to heavy. Will it be possible to reduce the draw weight by using a longer string?

No that will only lower the brace height. Not much you can do for it if it is Fiber glass,if it was wood
you could scrape a little off. :)

Build you one  :),or shorten your draw length ,it will loose about 3 lbs. pre inch of shorter draw.
If it is 70 @28 then it would be about 64 @26.

I'll build one in the future. But would get some practice shooting first. If I leave to string on the bow for a long period will it loose some lbs?

Pappy's right, you're only hope is to build a bow ;). If you're only interested in shooting you could make a light red oak D bow from a board in an hour or two.

What zen said. Post it in the trading post. Someone (Eddie) might trade you for the bow you want.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?
