1st points from rock
« on: December 13, 2009, 06:39:27 am »
i've been knapping again this weekend and i came up with some points out of rock for the 1st time.
the white one is my 1st ever rock point, it is novaculite. the other one is a nice little obsidian point. i'm going to have to order some more shafts to put them on. it'll be a treasured experience to take something with them!

2 nice ones.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Oh yea! I like the white one. You know, if you get blood on it, it might stain it!   :)

Those are some awesome 1st stone points.  My first points were made from spalls I found in chipping grounds and the only reason they were called points is because there was nobody around to claim otherwise.  Very good start!  Joe
