Osage Bow by Jawge (Not for BOM)

I just finished this osage bow.
I named this bow after my father, God rest him, who always aid that when he was satisfied with how something came out.
La Prassa is done except to sign it and brush on a coat of polyacrylic to protect the signature. Spar urethane makes it run. Thanks again to Brain Halbleib for the stave.  Thanks for looking in.
She’s 51# at 26 in and is 62 inches long.

That bow almost looks as good as the Hickory bow you posted the other day. ;)

Its always good to see you post a bow, the quality keeps us new guys on our toes. Really like the bow, very nice tiller in both shots. How wide did you go with the limbs Jawge?

gmc, the limbs are 1.5 in wide narrowing down to 1/2 inch nocks. The bow is about 62.5 in long. She weighs 18 oz and has a 8 inch non bending handle. The handle is 1.25 thick and 1.25 wide. She weighs 18 oz. Glad you like it. Thanks. Justin, I may have to get a Greek effzone costume. :) Jawge

The critic in me just has to say, that the lower limb is doing all the bending out of the fades, and it appears to have taken extra set due to that. I'm just say'in. ;)

Thanks, Dano. All my lower limbs seem to take more set than the upper. It's the way I hold the handle. I just live with it. I'll check to see when the limbs are bending. But both limbs are tillered as evenly as I can get them. :) Jawge
