 I picked up some gravel in the road at the job site today. There is some really nice chert and quartze that has been crushed in this road. Well I found a couple of small pieces I thought I could bang something out of. I had plenty of time, these drillers I have to watch are worthless. I don't think I'll get anything done before I have to leave. I wish I had brought some rock with me now. Here are a couple of little points I beat and pressure flaked out of that tough texas rock.

Man that one on the left is some purty rock eddie :) make sure and stop on the way home and get tome of that Tallahatta from Jeff :)

 Thanks, I think I'm starting to learn how to use that copper bopper again. I'd like a truck load of that brown stuff and there is some really nice looking pink rock too. I just can't find any pieces big enough.

That brown one is some pretty rock. Too bad you couldn't have found a big boulder of it. :D

Eddie, stop a dump truck driver and ask where the gravel came from.  They often know where all of the local stuff comes from.  Be safe.

 Bjorn, I'm going to google Landscaping stone and see if I can save myself a 4 hour drive to the good stuff.

There ya go Eddie.  On the other hand, what's an extra four hours when you already drove how many to get there from here?  ;)  ;D  I saw some interesting stuff in a landscape/rock yard on Monday.  I was with someone else and did not have the time to really get a really good look at it, but it's on the old radar now.

 Jamie, that's a piece of chert. Bjorn, it's looking like I might be staying longer. If I do I'll have Sunday off so I'll make a rock run.

That brown one looks to be mostly rootbeer, don't know about the othern - but they look good for sure ;). Take ya a drive around and check out all the construction entrances with rip/rap at the gate's. I've hauled home plenty of workable stuff outa those :).
