More Hickory work, we curffed the Hickory with a skill saw,got more that way[note if you try this be careful and hang on to the saw] Team work always helps also, couldn't do all this without these guys. ;) :) 41 in all of very nice Hickory blanks. :) took us about 3 or 4 hours. :)

Looks like yet another fine weekend at Twin Oaks.  Did a bit of bow work, myself.  Also some more snow plowing.  Plowed snow, and plowed snow.  We got a bunch this year, in Michigan.

Ya pretty ugly rabbit dog Greg. ;) :) :) Matt good to here you are still above the snow, been seeing yall are getting a lot this year.  :) :) John we used the skill saw
to Cerf the log then split in more manageable size pieces, the Cerf lets it split out much straighter. ;) :) [greed]  :) The stave are for the Classic or any other group we decide to have down making bows. We use what we get from them to replenish the supplies in the shop. :) We wind up giving a lot away but do sell some also. :)

Looks like the farm has been busy. Nice to get a taste of home through these pictures. It's been very busy here. I have added new pictures of missions and travels so if you're interested just follow the link below. It should show you the library and then you can click on them to make the large. Added 7 from my recent trip up north to Mazar-e Sarif.  It's cold at 16,000' in a helicopter!

Always welcome Eddie if you ant busy traveling the world. ;) Got started on the Hickory staves last night getting them into shape and ready for the form.1 down 40 to go.  ;) ;D ;D The cambium layer dried really funny on this Hickory[ guess we didn't get it all off when we cut it ]  ??? so each of the backs need to be scrapped and sanded before the bow is laid and cut out.  :) Going to take some time but are beautiful staves once cleaned up.  ;) :) it is a lot more work but has to be done
to insure a good stave. It looks pretty cool but will eventually crack and could ruin the stave in the process, not worth the chance. :)

How much snow did you get up in Clarksville Pappy? We got a couple inches in N/W Bama the first day that was gone by noon and a inch and a half last night that will also be gone by noon. It snowed hard all day yesterday but the temperature was 34 so none of it stuck until the temperature dropped after dark.
