I had them a couple of years ago. I think I got away lucky. Mine only felt like a couple of broken ribs. Mild compared to some.

I've known a few people who have had them and all I know is that I don't want to ever have  shingles. I will be getting the shot as soon as I'm able to. Patrick

Building a bow has been the most rewarding, peaceful, and frustrating things I have ever made with my own two hands!

Great weekend, rainy but lots going on just the same, the rain kept us under the shed so got a little done in the shop. We had a long but productive meeting Saturday trying to make plans for the 7th annual Traditional IBO world and made some progress on that. :) Here are some pictures of the fun. Sally chilling, the points from the Thunder chert event at the Classic put in there proper place. Some finish work on my walking stick. :)

Walking stick finished, turned out really cool. Some 20+ year old Osage  and other assorted pieces being readied to split into blanks and billets. :)

Chasing some rings and splitting some Mullberry, Rocky/Kevin and Steve brought this from MI. during the Classic. Looks like it will make 4 or 5 staves. :)

This is what will be on the side of the cozies ,not the bow life sticker but the Twin Oaks sticker. The bow life sticker was brought to me from the girls , they picked it up at the archery event they went to last week end with all the schools in the nation that qualified. :) They came in 45th out of 160 schools, room for improvement but proud of them just the same. :) Hope yall had a good one, very good one for me.  :) Life is Good. ;)

Looks like good times, as usual.  I hope to stop in for a day or so on the 29th and 30th.  Kinda to help me get over Classic withdrawals. ;)

Pappy:  Thanks again for sharing your weekends!  I have been under the weather ever since the Classic.  I seldom get sick and am not too tough about it.  I did manage to get that little project in the mail I promised for Beau.  Hope the spelling is right :)! Joe

Yup that's me and my two brother David and Nate.  They're local so hopefully they'll visit again.  David had an awakening I think, and realized all this bent stick talk I've been spewing the last few years actually means something.  Thanks so much to Pappy and everyone else for getting us started on that osage and for the mulberry.  Mulberry is so far my favorite and I'm going to have a hard time waiting till my visit next summer before picking it up again.
