Dove field, Milo. :) We also took some time and hauled a little wood, the stack is looking sad at the cabin. Bill is always up for wood cutting. :)

Thanks Clint, love it when I get the time. I planned on working on them yesterday ,but man what a storm we had, had to spend the evening cutting trees out of the drive to the cabin just to get in. Now lots of clean up to do. It took out several trees, good news it up rooted them and didn't twist them up to bad. Always looking at the bright side, it took down some small [sapling bow size] Iron Woods trees in the same root ball as the big red oak , I probably wouldn't have cut them if this hadn't have happened. Yall that have been there know where ,just left of the drive as you hit the wood going down the hill passed the practice range entrance. ;)

Pappy:  Sounds like you were lucky to be on the right side of the drive when the trees came down.  It would have been a problem if you were at the cabin needing to go to work when the storm hit!  We have had hail and rain and lightning for about three weeks.  The creek and the river are high, but the grass in the hills is the best in years! Sounds like a fun weekend pappy! I really like the yucca's being from Missouri myself. We have a lot of them at my folks farm. And if they ever get out of hand, they will make a great bow string to. Patrick

Missouri, where all the best wood is! Well maybe not the straightest!

Building a bow has been the most rewarding, peaceful, and frustrating things I have ever made with my own two hands!

Always something cool going on at twin oaks!  I'll be blasting by again tonight on my way to NC. I'll be sure to wave when I go by.  Josh
