What a great 3 day weekend, got lots done around the cabin and Farm and also got every thing set /cleaned and ready for the White tail Classic this Saturday. Here are a few pictures of the fun.  ;) :) Got 1 new handle on an old sledge hammer and 3 more ready for my old ax heads. Adam showed up from East TN. He had bought a Hickory stave at the Classic but didn't have time to work on it, so he showed up Friday and I walked him through it, he caught on fast. ;) :)

Adam getting his bow ready for the form for some reflex and tweaking. We made a trade to a local club [new club] for some of our old practice range targets,3 motors,2 for our fans and 1 for my band saw, good deal for both of us. ;)

Then Saturday morning ,some went out to pull the practice range and set the course for the up coming shoot and some of us cleaned out all the sheds to make room and get rid of lots of old stuff we don't need anymore, man stuff can stack up around there. :)

Will and Kevin finishing up the range. It's that time of year, when you see fresh or smoking tobacco in the barn you know fall and Deer season is close by. :) Giving Chuck the bug bomb bow. He loved it. ;) :)

Shed clean, what a job, back of cabin trim finished and ready for the gutter. Michael was on the range setting up and found this old ax head burred in the dirt, no telling how long it had been there, I plan on cleaning it up and put it back in service. :)

Case didn't want the Ginsang ,he just likes hunting it so he replanted it beside Hanna and Sadie's grave, pretty cool. Got the band saw motor on and it back in place all leveled up and the fan motor in place and ready for the belt. Also got the old ax head pretty clean, no markings except a forgers mark that I could find. ???

Forgers mark, :) hope to clean it up a bit more so I can read it a little better. Will came in with a mess of squirrels,Case cleaned them and also some, I think ? they call chicken in the woods mushrooms. ;) :) Will has killed squirrels 23 so far, he is filling the freezer, that is a good thing because the nut crop is down and they really needed thinning  , he is doing his part. Hope yall had a good one I know I did. Life is Good. ;) :)

Always cool do'ns at twin oaks.  I'm glad Chuck gotta kick out of the bug bomb.  I see the lower limb is either starting to fail or I did a far worse tiller job than I thought.  Lol!   Josh

Pappy, have you got a good source for motors? I was looking for some a few weeks ago and the prices on used motors has gone through the roof!

This always seems like a good time of year at Twin Oaks. Man, I'm ready to get back up.

Looks like a great time pappy! That hickory looks like some of that mockernut I gave you! Long and straight!
