My favorite part of the awards is seeing the kids on the podium, that is really cool. Hope yall had a good one and if you missed this one you should try and make it next year, we had a great turn out of selfbow guys/gals but could always use more. That's it for this week. Life is Good. ;) :) :)

Good to see your staying active and not getting rusty down there Pappy. :)  Looks like another successful event at Twin Oaks, you guys sure are great host and known how to do it up nice.  I'm sure a fun time was had by all, good to see the pics.

Yes Eddie it was a good one, wished I could get more self bow/PA guys to make it, I would love to grow that side of it more , still had quite a few self bows folks, probable 25/30 which ant bad for this type shoot and man could some of them shoot them sticks, :)  also had a good bunch from different parts of Florida that you probably know because they are heavy into Traditional Archery. :)

Friday and looking forward to a peaceful weekend at the Cabin. Still have some cleaning up to do but  for the most part the place is clean and stuff put away. We left the Hunter challenge range up so those of us that didn't get time to shoot can shoot it this weekend. I also have some work in the shop I want to do and of course start getting my stuff together for ElmHall only a little over a week and I head North to Yankee country. ???  Hope yall have a good one. What a great weekend, a little more laid back than last weekend. ;) Had some shop time and also time to do some shooting. A few pictures of the fun. Jon showed up Friday for some work, we took down the shower tent and also the AC tent and got it put away, man was it hot. :) I done a little horn work, made another powder horn for a gift at ElmHall next week and also a shot glass with some stuff left over, waste not want not I always say. ;) :)

Powder horn in the works, I put a brass filler tube and pine pitch glue to secure it. We left the Hunter Challenge range up for those of us that didn't get to shoot it last week, it was much fun to get out with the guys and shoot a little. ;) Pretty cool course. :)

Chuck giving Brandon some lessons on making a knife handle. Arrows all set and ready for me at ElmHall, need lots of arrows up there. :) New horn almost ready. :)
