Yep it is back down to gravel, found lots of usable rock and tool/files and all sorts of hammer stones and such, but at least you can stand up in it now. Bill  dumped the stuff in the woods above the cabin so folks can go through it if the want, lots of small stuff that would make some great hunting heads. :)

I have my Osage off the form so hope to get in some tiller work this evening. I had it out to 40lb @22 when I put it back on the form for some tweaking so hope to get it shooting today. Hope yall have a good one also and Remember the fallen, not just Memorial day but every day. ;) :) They are why Life is Good. :)

Had a great weekend, from the looks of the pictures it looks like a bunch of yall did also. I had a peaceful Friday just working in the shop and we all gathered to go to a local Traditional archery event Saturday morning, that was fun for a change, no work just shooting. Then came back and spent the rest of the weekend working on bows/horns and with Family. Great time all round.  ;)Here are a few pictures. Bill got the napping pit finished up, you can actually stand up in it now.  ;) Me working on a bad knot on the Osage bow I have been working on. I think I got it all cleaned up now. :)

Got the second Osage out to brace and ready for the R/D form. Supper in the pot  ;) and Little John learning to serve a string and showing off the bow he bought from Will, it was a B.L. Molly Will got from Black Hawk [Chris] back when he was still around. :-\  Very nice shooter. :)

Nice full draw picture and Little John shot it pretty good for the first time with a short bendy handle bow.
Mine put on the RD form. :)

Hi Pappy, It always amazes me how much you get done. Was all that work on the R/D form done with the heat gun? Also, I don't see any protection on those clamps. Is there leather there that I can't see or is there a longer wood piece in there that I don't see? I am interested to see it at brace when it comes off the form.

Yes it was all done with heat gun and yes there is leather pads under the clamp, I copied the form from a RD custom long bow, it is pretty radical but I like they way it works except for right at the fads, a little much there for me but I can live with that. :) and Yes Bob very happy dogs. ;) :)
