A view of the lake, it was about a 3 mile hike, that is where we set our first spike camp, they had a burn in 2004 so wasn't like I remembered in 1989 the last time I was there. Beautiful in a different way. :)

On the way to the Flat tops, it was a bout a 4 mile hike and 1100 + feet, beautiful once you get up there, you could over look all of Big Fish valley.

Then we decided to check out Bolder another area about 4 1/2 miles to the West of Big Fish valley. My buddy Ronnie Poston took a picture of me in 1989 over looking Bolder peak and Beau wanted one this year in the same spot 30 years later. Pretty cool although I am a little grayer. ;) :) We set up a Minny camp at Bolder lake, not as nice as the one at Big fish lake but worked.  :)

View from spike camp, Beau set up a hammock tent and I set up a small bivouac army tent in a small patch of Blue spruce. We were seeing a lot of Mule deer at Bolder, not so much on the Elk, it was hot/windy and the Elk were staying high in the dark timber so we decided to concentrate on Mule deer, HA meat is meat.  ;) :)

More of Bolder peak and area around it. :) You can see why the Mule deer loved it, it had everything they needed. :)

More of the view, and Our little hide away with our own water supply, their was a small spring coming out of the hill side above camp so I dug out a small hole to hold water, was handy to wash and get drinking water. :)
