Finely got it put back together and strung up. GregB showed up to do some finish work on the forge.Good to see him out, Haven't seen him in a couple of weeks. :)

Chuck showed up and got me a good fire going for Saturday night, 90 degrees but still got to have a fire. :) Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good. ;) :) :)

You inspired me Pappy. This is how my granddaughters crown turned out. Skull plate, deer teeth and antler buttons. She will be over in a little bit. Can't wait to see her face.

Hope yall had a safe and wonderful 4th, Miss Joanie had a nice quite one. I am headed to the cabin in a bit , got no real plans which is how I like it, I want to do some shooting of my last Osage now that the finish is good and dry and also have a couple of knives in the works, both need scales and 1 blade needs tempering so a good fire is in order. ;) :) :) Hope yall have a good weekend also. Life is Good. :)

Great weekend, several storms so lots of time in the shop but did get a chance to shoot some between storms. Here are a few pictures of the fun. ;) New knife blade ready to temper, scales fitted and blade all shaped out.  ;)

2 saplings cut for some handles for and old rake and shovel. 1 elm and 1 HHB just need a little drying time. :) Also another blade GregB gifted me ready for Elk horn scales, the grind he made wasn't prefect but should make a very good working knife. ;)

Bill and Shawn working on a board to make Shawn a string making board. My file blade tempered in the fire and then in the oven for 2 hours at 375.  :)

Scales fitted on both blades and a coat od sealer on them, still using the linseed oil Clint gave me several years back, love the stuff. I had some waste when I cut my scales and had a file that needed a handle so I made one for it, waste not want not. :) ;) ;)

Bill/Shawn and Frank, all good friends wanted to hunt some Cantrell's and man was they out, I think between the 3 they gathered over 30lbs, they had already gathered over 15lbs a few days ago, funny thing is they haven't really came in good yet. ;) Chuck showed up and I helped him splice a couple pair of billets, very nice wood about 10 years old and should make 2 fine bows. :)
