Time to clean my work bench. GregB showed up working on his grandson a walking stick, he is doing some beautiful work on it as we have all come to expect from him.

Joe also came by and after shooting his new bow in , it needed just a little tweaking on the bottom limb, should be good now.

Great time with the guys and in the shop and range, getting hot down here so more time in the shop under the fan may be required.

Your going to run out of files Pappy. Funny how we get in groves. I’m the same way. Last year it seemed like the powder horns. Now you have the knife bug going strong.

It’s all good and it’s great to have something to capture your interest and give you joy in so many ways.

Ya I seem to move from one thing to another with a few bows fitted in between, my heart is always bows/arrows and bow hunting but this other stuff just seems to go along with it.

Yep Bob, I love fooling with them, still have several horns to work and some in different stages, probably get back to them when the mood strikes. Love to see some of yours.

Mine aren't usually to pretty or fancy but I try to make sure they are functional like most of the stuff I make.

Headed to the cabin for some fun in the heat, been in the high 90's to low 100's all week and is supposed to be that way another week or more, strange,usually get this kind of weather in late July and early August, maybe we will have a cool fall. Hope yall have a good one also. Life is Good.

Happy Fathers day, I had a great weekend, Friday and Saturday at the cabin and Sunday Church and then with the kids and Grand kids, hard to beat that. The weekend was mostly some knife work with a little bow work and shooting thrown in.We had a Club meeting Saturday and a club shoot after,that is always fun.I took out one of my latest Osage bows for a test run and it shot very good, think they are both ready for some writing and sealing up also worked on my Yew bow and got it ready to finish tillering. Another neck knife and stand finished.

Jesse and his girl friend showed up, he was working on a soap stone pipe of some sort, carving some turtles on the bowl. I don't do much leather work as most of you know but decided to make a couple for the new neck knives,nothing fancy just functional . First one turned out OK. $:-\$

Got them both made and Hemp lanyard one one , ran out of himp so will finish that when i get to town to get more.

My girls just enjoying the weekend. And old friend showed up with a few old files that belonged to his Grand dad and gave them to me, guess more knives in my future.

Got my Yew bow off the form and to first brace, looking pretty good so far but didn't hold all I had done to it,

not sure if I will go back to the form when I get some weight off or just go with what it is, it is kind of short 58 t-t so really wanted more R@D , I will just think on it a while, no hurry, got plenty of bows to shoot.
