GregB and Jon doing some knife work,Doug's bow on the tiller stick .then first time pulled to full draw,Also Gary's bow with full draw picture. Nice shooter.

Greg still getting it on the knife work,Our token Yankee[Art]  ;) ;D ;D Art and I work up a late lunch for the guys.  :) I love that open kitchen in the summer,keeps from heating up the cabin.   :)

That last picture of Doug was his first arrow out of his new Osage bow,shoots great.Well done Doug.  :) :) Big A showed up with his new bow,man it is sweet,I shot it and that was my group,I told him it was kind of like shooting a compound. :) :) ;) Jon with his finished knife,very nice work.  :)

I help Doug put some tips on his new bow,they turned out nice and a great finish to the bow,Also another piece of rawhide ready to be tanned,man that scraping hides it tough work,the rest of the tanning is fun but scraping is work. :) Hope yall had a good one.Life is good. :) :)

Looks like fun Pappy. I know what you mean about the heat we've had a bunch of 100 degree days around here with humidity in th 90 to 100% range.Life is good Ron

Thanks for sharing the pictures, it's great to see all you folks hanging out at Twin Oaks and Pappy survived the IBO World.  Maw and me will be in Nashville for a few days, our grandson wedding is Aug  6th. So maybe you Joanie and Greg B. could share a little food together with us somewhere around Clarksville ? That is if you can tear yourself away from Camp Paradise (twin oaks)

Thanks Jimmy.  :)  I'm really looking forward to what Greg has in store for me with his leather working skills.

I found a piece of wood laying on the ground near the band saw Saturday.  I laughed and took it to the belt sander and in a few moments I had my wife a brand new custom made letter opener.  A few coats of True Oil after hand sanding and she was pretty as a picture.  My wife loved it.  It simply amazes me at times the things I come away from Twin Oaks with.

 Chuck When are you coming in  ??? I will be leaving on the 3rd of August for Elm Hall MI.
to a shoot I go to most every year,need to go to a shoot I have time to shoot in for a
change.  ;) :) :) Let me know when yall will be in town.Missed you at the IBO ,that would have been right up you alley. Jon glad you had a good time,missed the letter opener. ??? Jimmy hope to see you at least once more before you leave.I will be there Wed. evening. I got to mow at the house today.  :(

Well it is Friday again and I am headed to the cabin as usuall when I get out of here.I have a few projects to work on, 2 Bows to seal and one more hide on the rack to scrape.other than that I need to mow and do some disking of my food plots. DaveO from IN. is coming in today so I know we will eat good and I am sure have some fun around the fire. Hope yall have a good one.I will see ya Monday. ;) :) on ya I almost forgot ,I have to get some bows,arrows and finishing packing for MI.
I am leaving Wed.morning for ElmHall MI. to a shoot with some of my Yankee brothers.  ;) :) ;D ;D Life is good. :)
