Great weekend, not much shop work although I did get my snake vertebra necklace finished and an Osage almost to a ring. ;) The rest of the weekend was filled with building the new shed. We made some head way and got the hard part done. Few pictures of the progress. ;) Girls doing their thing, Bill make a string for his new bow and an Osage in the works. ;)

Pappy,  I don't seal the snake vertebrae with anything.  I soak them in strong peroxide to disinfect and make them white.  If you leave them unsealed you can do another peroxide soak if they get dirty from wearing them.  They make a good necklace.  Coyote teeth and bear claws go good with them.

The shed is looking good!
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Snapper claws polished with some buffed turtle shell cutouts looks very nice for bones as well.

Cool Clint, I will leave them as they are. I used bleach watered down to get them white, then rinsed them really good . You got any Shawn ?? ;) :) Thanks Pat/Bob we plan on finishing the roof this weekend if the rain will hold off. Then Plugs/ lights and skirt the ends sometime before the Classic to help keep the rain from blowing in, Plan on besides storing farm equipment under it using it for vendors so we don't have to put up that big tent anymore. :)

Have to look, I have a jar of claws somewhere from some eatin sized snappers. Cut trail and several ground stands locations yesterday. I looked down into a deep hole in the creek and there were four Rockfish in there. They were prolly 20-30lbers. Not sure how the otters have not cleaned them out, to big maybe? Cool to see them just lying in there.

I noticed that you just bury the posts. I thought you had termites down there.

Roughly how long do they last? Western red cedar lasts about ten years around here. Not that they are the same wood. WRC is "rot resistant" too.
