I'm guessing that Pappy and Beau are on their first hunt this morning. Hope the elk and weather cooperate.  :OK

Back in Tennessee, great trip, stories and pictures later when i catch my breath, Drove straight through and that is 2 all nightie's for me in 3 weeks, tougher than it use to be. Here is a couple from from the week, great end to 10 days of hard hunting. We hiked an est. 80 miles in the mountains and hunted hard, the old man hung in their and Beau was like a mountain goat in the mountains, it was hot/windy and dry and the elk were high so we focused on mule's.  ;)  Nice big doe for Beau and supper after we packed it out 4.4 miles the next day.We stayed in our spike camp that night after getting it cut up and hauled out of the timber, then put the deer in the spring to keep it cool for the night Not quite like home where I tell him to go get the Kobota while I dress the deer.  ??? Life is good ;) :)

Thanks Dave, yes I think it dose. :) Been really busy since I returned, got deer to cut up, just finished up yesterday building a new pond and now have to get the banks sewed before the rain and also Bow season opens this weekend so lots going on in a short period of time. Headed to the farm this morning to set up a stand for Saturday and then to work on Beau's deer. Working on pond bank tomorrow. ;) :) I thought I would start posting a few pictures of the trip out west. I have a bunch so I will post them little at a time. Hope you enjoy looking as much as we did living them. First a fire then Beau catching his breathe fro a 22 hour drive, we drove straight through and he drove all the way, don't trust the old mans driving I guess. ;) Then seating up our base camp at Himes peak camp ground. :)
